What is COD in Leopards Courier?

COD (Cash on Delivery) is a payment method where the buyer pays for the parcel in cash when it is delivered to their door, rather than paying online in advance. Leopards Courier (LCS) is one of Pakistan's largest COD logistics providers, handling millions of COD deliveries monthly.

For sellers, COD means the payment is collected by the LCS rider on their behalf and remitted to the seller's bank account after successful delivery. For buyers, it means paying the exact order amount in cash to the rider at the door — no online payment required.

When Will I Receive the COD Amount? (Seller Guide)

For sellers using Leopards Courier directly (not via Daraz), COD remittance follows this timeline:

1

COD Collected (Day 0)

Rider delivers the parcel and collects cash. Tracking updates to "COD Collected" — this timestamp is your Day 0 for remittance calculation.

2

Processing (Day 1)

LCS processes the collected amounts across all delivered shipments at the end of the business day. Collections made after 5 PM may roll to the next business day.

3

Bank Transfer Initiated (Day 1–2)

LCS initiates a bank transfer to your registered account. Interbank transfers typically take 1 business day; same-bank transfers are faster.

4

Amount in Your Account (Day 2–3)

You receive the COD amount minus LCS charges (COD fee + shipping cost if applicable). Check your LCS online account for a remittance statement.

Note for Daraz sellers: COD remittance for Daraz orders does not come directly from LCS. Daraz consolidates COD collections and pays sellers through the Daraz Seller Wallet on a weekly cycle. See the Daraz + LCS guide for details.

How to Track Your COD Parcel

Tracking a COD parcel is identical to tracking any other Leopards Courier shipment. The CN number on a COD booking works exactly the same — there is no separate "COD tracking number."

For Buyers (Recipients)

  • Enter the CN from the seller's dispatch message
  • Track to see if parcel is Out for Delivery today
  • Have exact cash ready — riders may not carry change
  • Keep your phone reachable on dispatch day
  • If delivery fails, rider retries the next business day

For Sellers (Shippers)

  • Use bulk tracking to monitor all COD shipments at once
  • Track COD status to know which amounts are pending
  • Use our bulk tracker for daily order monitoring
  • Export results to your order management system
  • Contact LCS if COD Collected but no remittance after 48h

COD Failed Delivery — What Happens Next?

If the LCS rider cannot deliver a COD parcel — because the recipient is unavailable, refuses the order, or can't provide exact payment — the parcel is marked as "Failed Delivery." Here's what happens next:

Delivery Attempt 1 — Failed

Rider marks the shipment as "Failed Attempt." No COD is collected. The parcel returns to the local LCS hub. An SMS notification is sent to the buyer.

Re-delivery Attempt (Next Business Day)

LCS makes up to 3 delivery attempts before initiating RTO. The rider will try again the following business day. Ensure your phone is reachable and someone is home.

After 3 Failed Attempts — RTO Initiated

After 3 failed delivery attempts, the parcel is returned to the seller (RTO — Return to Origin). The seller pays return charges. No COD amount is collected.

Buyer Refuses COD

If the recipient explicitly refuses to pay or accept the parcel, it is immediately marked for RTO. This counts as a rejection — not a failed delivery attempt. The seller loses both the delivery and return shipping costs.

For more on what happens after a failed delivery, read our Failed Delivery Guide.

COD Amount Verification

As a buyer or seller, you can verify the exact COD amount associated with a shipment before or after delivery:

For Buyers

The COD amount is shown in your order confirmation from the seller (WhatsApp, email, or SMS). It should match the total in your Daraz order or seller invoice. Do not pay a different amount — contact the seller if the rider quotes a different figure.

For Sellers

The COD amount is recorded in your LCS booking confirmation. When the status changes to "COD Collected," the exact amount collected is logged in your LCS seller account under Remittance Reports. Discrepancies can be raised with LCS customer support.

COD for Daraz Sellers — Automatic Remittance

Daraz sellers have a different COD experience compared to sellers using LCS directly. The key difference: Daraz handles all COD settlement, not LCS directly.

LCS Collects, Daraz Remits

Leopards Courier collects cash from the buyer and transfers it to Daraz. Daraz then pays sellers through the Daraz Seller Wallet on a fixed weekly payment cycle.

No Direct LCS Remittance for Daraz Orders

Daraz sellers should not expect COD remittance directly from LCS. All payments come via the Daraz Seller Centre → Finance → Payments section.

Track COD Status via CN

Even for Daraz orders, you can track whether the COD has been collected by entering the LCS CN here. "COD Collected" status confirms payment was received by the rider.

Daraz COD Dispute Process

If a buyer claims they paid but Daraz shows no COD collected, the seller must raise a dispute via Daraz Seller Support — not through LCS directly. LCS provides COD collection records to Daraz upon request.

Frequently Asked Questions

Real answers about Cash on Delivery tracking with Leopards Courier in Pakistan.

COD tracking in Leopards Courier lets both buyers and sellers monitor Cash on Delivery shipments using a CN number in the tracking tool. The timeline shows standard LCS statuses plus COD-specific updates — "COD Collected" when the rider collects cash and "COD Remitted" when funds reach the seller. Learn the full process in our tracking guide and check LCS status codes to understand every update.
As a buyer, the COD amount appears in your order confirmation from the seller (WhatsApp, SMS, or email). For Daraz orders it matches your final order total in the app. As a seller, the amount is locked in at booking and visible in your LCS booking confirmation. Standard tracking via the tracking tool does not display the COD amount field — contact the seller directly if you are unsure what to pay at the door.
After "COD Collected" is logged, Leopards processes remittances in a daily batch at end of business. Bank transfers are typically initiated within 24 hours and credited to your registered account within 24–48 business hours. Collections after 5 PM or on weekends roll to the next business cycle. Sellers can verify breakdowns under Remittance Reports in the LCS portal. For Daraz orders the remittance route is different — see the Daraz tracking guide.
Once booked, the COD amount is locked in the LCS system and cannot be changed or waived at the doorstep. If a seller needs to amend the amount they must contact their LCS account manager before the parcel is dispatched from the hub. After dispatch, no changes are possible. Buyers must pay the exact booked amount — riders cannot accept different figures. For general booking guidance see the how-to-track guide.
No COD service fee is charged on returned parcels because no cash was collected. However, the seller pays standard return delivery charges per their LCS agreement. High RTO-rate accounts may incur additional handling fees, and the original outbound charge is non-refundable. Read our failed delivery guide for strategies to reduce COD return rates and minimise RTO costs.
"COD Received" (or "COD Collected") means the rider delivered the parcel and collected the full cash payment. For sellers this triggers the remittance cycle — expect the amount in your bank within 24–48 business hours. For buyers it confirms your payment is logged. See the full list of status codes in our LCS status codes guide and track your shipment via the main tracker.
No — Leopards Courier standard COD requires physical cash at the door. JazzCash and Easypaisa are not officially supported payment methods within the LCS COD workflow as of current policy. Some sellers arrange digital payment separately outside the LCS booking, but LCS does not manage or confirm that exchange. Buyers who cannot pay cash should contact the seller before delivery day. For all other tracking questions use the tracking tool.
All COD collections across your shipments are combined into one daily batch remittance — not individual transfers per parcel. At end of each business day, all "COD Collected" amounts are totalled, LCS charges deducted, and a single bank transfer initiated. View the per-parcel breakdown in Remittance Reports in the LCS seller portal. Use our bulk tracking tool to monitor which CNs have been collected on any given day.
Yes. Transit delays do not waive or reduce the COD obligation — the full booked amount remains due upon delivery. If the delay is excessive, contact the seller to request RTO before delivery is attempted. Check current status using the tracking tool, and review in-transit status codes to understand where your parcel is. Our delivery time guide explains typical timelines by city.
If the rider quotes a different figure at the door, pay only the exact amount on your order confirmation. Note the rider name and employee ID. As a seller, if your remitted amount differs from what was collected, raise a dispute via the LCS complaint portal or through your account manager within 7 days of delivery — disputes submitted after that window may be rejected. Keep your booking confirmation as evidence and contact LCS promptly.
The flow for Daraz orders: LCS rider collects cash → LCS transfers funds to Daraz → Daraz pays sellers via the Daraz Seller Wallet on a weekly cycle. Do not contact LCS for COD payment queries on Daraz orders — raise those through Daraz Seller Support. You can still confirm cash collection using the LCS CN in our tracker. Full details in the Daraz + Leopards guide.
If the parcel is lost before delivery, no COD is collected — the cash obligation is void. The seller files a lost parcel claim with LCS under the Leopards insurance or compensation policy for the declared parcel value. Always declare accurate parcel values at booking to ensure full compensation eligibility. File your claim through the complaint channel with your CN number and parcel description. For urgent cases contact LCS directly.
No. Leopards Courier uses the same CN format for both COD and prepaid shipments. You cannot distinguish a COD parcel from a standard one based on the CN number alone — the difference only appears in tracking status updates (COD shipments show "COD Collected" and "COD Remitted" statuses). Read the CN format guide for a full breakdown, and check all LCS status codes to understand COD-specific events.
Yes. The LCS seller portal logs a timestamped COD collection record — time, date, and amount — against each CN when the rider marks delivery complete. Access this under Order Management or Remittance Reports. Sellers using integrated systems can pull this data via the LCS API. If a collection event is missing from your portal but the buyer confirms payment, contact your LCS account manager immediately and also file a formal complaint to create an audit trail.
LCS does not publish a universal minimum, but in practice bookings start from around PKR 100. The standard maximum is PKR 100,000 per shipment, though limits vary by account tier — high-volume sellers can negotiate higher caps with their LCS account manager. Amounts above your account limit cannot be booked without prior approval. Always confirm your current limits directly with LCS via the contact page before booking high-value COD shipments.
Officially, Leopards applies the same timelines to both — 1–3 business days for major cities and 3–5 days for remote areas. In practice, COD deliveries can experience marginally higher delays because the rider must verify and collect exact cash before marking completion. High COD volumes during peak periods like Eid or major sales can compound delays. Check our delivery time guide for city-specific estimates, and track current status via the tracker.
No. The LCS COD policy requires the full booked amount at delivery — partial payments are not accepted. The rider handheld device shows the total due and cannot register a partial collection. If the buyer cannot pay in full, the parcel is returned to the hub and logged as a failed delivery attempt. Sellers should communicate the exact amount clearly before dispatch. Read the failed delivery guide for next steps when a COD attempt fails.
No. Cash on Delivery is a domestic-only service covering 400+ cities and towns within Pakistan. International shipments via Leopards require advance payment or international payment methods — COD is not available for cross-border or export orders. If you need COD-like services for international e-commerce, you would need a fulfilment partner specialising in cross-border COD for your target market. For domestic bulk COD monitoring, use our bulk tracking tool.
Leopards has layered controls: rider handheld devices display the pre-loaded COD amount and cannot be manually overridden; collections are logged with GPS coordinates and timestamps; and daily cash reconciliation at LCS hubs compares physical cash against digital records. Sellers receive digital remittance statements for cross-checking. Despite these controls, sellers should monitor Remittance Reports and report anomalies within 7 days via the complaint portal or by contacting LCS directly.
Refuse to pay the extra amount. Pay only the exact figure on your order confirmation. Note the rider name, employee ID, and vehicle number. Immediately call the LCS helpline and file a formal report through the LCS complaint portal. Demanding unauthorised payments is a serious policy violation subject to disciplinary action. You can also reach LCS through the contact page. Keep your payment record and rider details as evidence for the investigation.
